Question #1:  How do I become a Moorish American?

 

Answer: You are born a Moorish American. Everyone in this country has dual Nationality at birth except African-Americans. You will never hear an African say he is an African.  He may say, I’m Nigerian, Rwandan, Kenyan... but never African.

Question #2:  How much does it cost?

 

Answer:  It does not cost one red cent!  Nationality is free; and anyone trying to sell it to you is an enemy of our People and our Nation. Noble Drew Ali did not charge our People for something they are blessed to be by the Creator. "You are what your forefathers were without doubt or contradiction."

 

 

Question #3: How do I file and where do I file my Nationality paperwork?

 

Answer:  Your Nationality Paperwork has already been done! Noble Drew Ali already did the paperwork. The problem is, Moors keep trying to figure out their own salvation and don’t realize that if they could save themselves, the Creator would not have sent them a Prophet. The Prophet Noble Drew Ali did all he could do to save our People, but he could not do it all. There was only one thing he could not do. In the Moorish Literature, Noble Drew Ali says, “There is only one thing for my people to do to be recognized by this Government and the Nations of the Earth”. That one thing is to UNIFY into a Free and Independent State. This is done by Proclaiming your Nationality in the Government in which you live and the Nations of The Earth. See Act 6 of the Divine Constitution and By-Laws. This is done when you “Pledge your Allegiance” to your State Government and take an Oath to uphold your State’s Constitution!!!  Until you do so, you are a "stateless" person.

 

"stateless person":  Int'l Law.   A natural person who is not considered a national by any country. The Stateless Persons Convention (1954) provides these pople with certain protections and obliges them to abide by the laws of the country where they reside. 

 

 

Question #4: What’s the name of your temple?

 

Answer:  There is only one Temple: the Moorish Science Temple of America; and there is only one Prophet: Prophet Noble Drew Ali.

 

 

Question #5: Who is the Grand Sheik?

 

Answer:  All the Grand Sheiks are our Sheiks; but they only have power in the temples.  Their power doesn't carry into our state government and is limited to the internal "theocratic" government of the Moorish Science Temple of America (a corporate body politic). It has the power to save souls, but cannot govern the flesh.  Sheiks have the power to enforce the laws for the Moorish Science Temple of America inside of the temple, but they do not have the power outside of the temple to stop Moors from committing crimes; nor to advance us as a nation. This is where a state government comes into place.

 

 

Question #6: Is the Moorish Science Temple of America our Government?

 

Answer:  No. It has a government; but we should not be putting all our eggs into one basket. Let me explain! The city of Chicago has a government, but that government cannot take your life because you break one of their statutes. However, the State has the power to take your life for breaking one of theirs. Now, let’s pay close attention to the Supreme Court acts of State.  It says, “No sovereign State government Citizen shall sit in judgment over another Sovereign State government Citizen”. Note: it does not say, no government citizen shall sit in judgment over another government citizen.

This is a Divine and National movement.  "Divine" deals with the temple and your spiritual & moral being. The "National movement" deals with the flesh.  The Divine side is therefore the temple; and the national movement side is the state.  This is why Yeshuah (Jesus for those who don't recognize his real name) said, "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak". This is also the reason why church and state must stay separate.

Question #7:  What’s Our free National Name?

 

Answer:  Our free National Name is not El or Bey.  Our free National name is “Moorish American”.

 

 

Question #8: Should we change our name?

 

Answer:  No! You should not change your name to one that sounds so-called Arabic. Names such as Muhammad, Abdullah, Yassin…these names don’t reflect that you are Moorish.  There are Africans and Arabs with these same names.  The El or Bey added to the name makes your name Moorish and people know that you are Moorish American by the attributes that follow your surname.  

 

• Noble Drew Ali said in his Oral Statements: "Let all old business stay as it is, and all new business, do it in your free national name." (In other words, do not change any records, leave them as they are, but in doing new business, put your nationality on it, if nationality is asked for, and use your name of El or Bey properly).

 

• Noble Drew Ali also said in the Oral Statements to, "not throw away your slave names (your family name), because we have a birth-right under them. For the work that our ancestors did in slavery time, we will be paid off for this, and with compounded interest."

 

• Noble Drew Ali's name was Timothy Drew, and today he's known by Noble Drew Ali.  All he did was add "Ali" to his surname, Drew. He never changed his "surname" from Drew.  

 

 

Question #9:  Is Arabic the Language we should be learning?

 

Answer:  There’s nothing wrong with learning Arabic.  In fact, in our culture, if you could not speak at least 3 languages you were looked at like a dummy. Noble Drew Ali said, “The language you most need to learn is Spanish”. Now, look around you today.  Which language is going to help you more in this country, Arabic or Spanish? Also keep in mind, North, South and Central America is your land.  Which language do you think will help you more in South and Central America?

Question #10:  What does it really mean to be a "stateless person"?

 

Answer:  "stateless person": (Black's Law) Int'l Law.   A natural person who is not considered a national by any country. A MUST READ DOCUMENT IS: Convention Relating to the Status of Stateless Persons (1954) provides these pople with certain protections and obliges them to abide by the laws of the country where they reside. A quote from the Convention states:  "For the purpose of this Convention, the term "stateless person" means, a person who is not considered as a national by any state under the operation of its law."

 

 

Here are ways to determine if different Moorish organizations are correct or not:

 

• Do they have a so-called leader?

• Do they speak violently or radically?

• If they don't acknowledge Noble Drew Ali.

• Do they talk a lot, but have no answers?

• Does it seem like all they talk about is history?

• If they don't teach about citizenship or go into great detail about nationality.

• Do they, or are they teaching you to be a part of an Indian tribe?

 

If so, I hate to tell you that’s not it.
